The Florida Coalition on Donation is a nonprofit alliance of statewide organ donor programs, tissue banks, eye banks and other interested individuals and organizations dedicated to saving and improving lives through organ and tissue donation. The FCOD is affiliated with the national Coalition on Donation. Founded in 1992, the national Coalition on Donation is comprised of 47 local coalitions and 50 national organizations dedicated to educating the public about organ and tissue donation, correcting misconceptions about donation and creating a greater willingness to donate. By joining together, the transplant community sends a unified message to all Americans to Donate Life.
